       أطلق برنامج المواطنة البيئية التابع لجمعية البحرين النسائية - للتنمية الإنسانية مشروعه الجديد "سفراء البيئة الشباب" وذلك في نيسان (أبريل) من العام الجاري.

       "سفراء البيئة الشباب" مشروع بيئي يستهدف الشباب من الفئة العمرية 18-25 سنة، ويهدف لخلق جيل واع وقادر على حمل هم القضايا البيئية والتفاعل مع الأحداث البيئية العالمية عبر البحث عن سبل للحدّ أو التقليل من الآثار الضارة على البيئة.  وقد بدأ البرنامج بعدد خمسة أفراد، ثلاث شابات وشابين للتركيز عليهم بشكل مكثف في المشروع الذي يتألف من مراحل متعددة ويحوي مواضيع بيئية متنوعة على المستوى المحلي والعالمي. حيث يتضمن المشروع ثلاث ورش عمل وزيارات ميدانية وسيكون هناك مشروعان للتخرج، أحدهما على المستوى الفردي والآخر على المستوى الجماعي، ويتخلل هذه الفترة مواضيع تثقيفية بيئية مكثفة.

وقد تم عقد لقاء تعريفي للمشاركين جرى فيه استعراض خطة المشروع وآلية تنفيذه، فيما كان اللقاء الثاني عبارة عن حلقة نقاشية عرض فيها فلم بيئي مساند لموضوع الحلقة.

"#Environmental_Youth_Ambassadors " An Innovative Project by #Bahrain_Women_Association The Environmental Citizenship Program, one of Bahrain Women's Associations for Human Development programs launched a new project titled "Environment Youth Ambassadors" in April 2019. "Environment Youth Ambassadors" is a 6 months long environmental project targeting Bahraini youth aged 18-25 years. The project aims to create a generation that is aware and capable of understanding the local and global environmental challenges and take active steps toward reducing or minimizing the adverse effects on the environment.  The program started with 5 youth, 3 females and 2 males to ensure extensive engagement from all participants. The project consists of several phases and covers various environmental topics from a local and a global point of view. The project includes different learning methods such as workshops and field visits and weekly interactive online educational sessions.  In addition to that, participants would have to develop two projects to be qualified as an Environmental Youth Ambassador, the first is an individual project and the second is to be developed as a group. A familiarization and kick-off session was already held to introduce the participants to the project plan, while the second session was to watch an environmental movie and have a round table discussion following that.
