Removal of bird poaching nets from Nabi Othman and Jabula in the northern Bekaa

Based on a complaint to it from sustainable hunters in the areas of Nabi Othman and Jaboula in the northern Bekaa Valley, about the presence of nets set up to trap birds, something documented by photos and GPS, the Anti-Poaching Unit (APU) of the Middle East Sustainable Hunting Center (MESHC) moved, in alliance with the Society for the Protection of Nature in Lebanon (SPNL) and in partnership with the International Committee Against Bird Slaughter (CABS), and carried out with CABS a monitoring process to document the violation and then contacted the Internal Security Forces, which moved to remove the violations.
The Anti-Poaching Unit thanks every honest hunter seeks to protect the hobby from extinction.
The Middle East Sustainable Hunting Center (MESHC), along with the Society for the Protection of Nature in Lebanon (SPNL), Birdlife International's Lebanon partner, is implementing, at the national and international levels, a number of projects aimed at protecting migratory birds, including the Migratory Soaring Birds (MSB) project funded by the Global Environment Forum (GEF), and the project to preserve the Egyptian Vulture - The "Egyptian Vulture New LIFE" Project funded by the European Union, as well as the Safe Flyways for Bird Migration in the Mediterranean, a project funded by the Swiss Foundation MAVA Foundation.
